It was a really exciting time for me when I was asked to photograph A Foreigners Journey. The venue was local and it was just an absolute gift for me.
As the name suggests the band perform covers of Foreigner and Journey, two of my favourites!
The guys who make up AFJ were a joy to work with and so so talented; I can’t believe they have not yet appeared at the O2 !
I used flash backstage for the group shots before the gig, this included their pre-gig ritual…check out the hands shot.
I then moved out for the actual event where flash was not an option.
Brudenell Road Social Club was the venue; due to the minimal lighting it was extremely challenging but we all know life’s not always easy, just get on with it and make the camera work!
I cannot recommend AFJ enough; it was a truly wonderful night with truly wonderful people and incredible music….I will be seeing them again.
I am so lucky to work with the people that I do and AFJ have just been added to that list.
