Jenni & Simon chose The Alhambra Gardens at Roundhay Park, Leeds for their shoot. I have used this location many times….I love it !!
First things first though………..Bride & Groom called at my house so I could photograph wedding rings, shoes (Hers NOT His !!), a bottle of perfume and anything else that is really important or sentimental to them. I know exactly what I want from this and where the images will go in the album. This adds impact and gives a full story of their wedding celebrations.
We then moved on to complete the portrait part of the shoot, again I know what I need to record the day. It is important that they have a nice image of them to include on the signature board. Incidentally, I hand cut the board usually with an aperture sufficient to include a 12” x 8” image from their shoot for guests to sign on their big day.
I can’t begin to describe the importance I place on the pre-wedding shoot. It is a time when the Bride & Groom can get to know me a little bit and where I can get an idea of how to fulfill their photographic wishes.
It is also not too late for them to decide that I am not the one for them !!
Jenni & Simon were very quiet when we had out initial meeting, the pre-wedding shoot was a different matter………We had a great time !!
Jewellery photographed, lovely images of Bride & Groom, great image for the signature board………… assignment complete!!!
I can’t wait for the wedding.
I really do love my job !!
