RAIN, RAIN & MORE RAIN !!
Nicky & Lee’s wedding was at the Register Office at Sheffield Town Hall and afterwards at The Leopold Hotel.
I always tell the bride and groom not to worry about the weather……it is simply ‘weather’ and there is not a thing you can do about it. It should never spoil a wedding day.
Any photographer should be able to adapt and produce !!!
Fortunately for me, both Nicky and Lee had an incredible sense of humour. We just laughed from start to finish!!.
The wedding was a little unorthodox in that there was no best man and both bride and groom were leaving the hotel together for the ceremony. It was lovely that Tilley, their daughter was present; this gave me the opportunity to get some lovely shots of her with both Mum & Dad.
I actually like a bit of rain, umbrellas are a fantastic prop and really add to the mood of the shots.
The weather was too severe to get any group shots outside. It was a pity as the Peace Gardens just outside the Town Hall would have been a wonderful location.
We opted for the Winter Garden, an enclosed area that in itself was lovely and entirely appropriate for the group pics.
We all walked back after the ceremony, again in the rain. More shots under the umbrella but I have to say, I think they work really well.
Last couple of pics at the City Centre Fair for a bit of colour and then back to the Hotel for the wedding breakfast and the couple shots.
Another wonderful and very successful, if not a very wet day !!
