Dawn & Andy got married at St Mary’s Church, Whitkirk and then went to Kirkstall Abbey for their wedding breakfast.
As I understand it, this was the first occasion in which a marquis would be used for a wedding at the abbey.
The weather was lovely with a bit of rain for the journey to the Abbey. Mode of travel was two double decked buses, one bright red and the other bright green. Fantastic !!!
The whole day was just so tastefully prepared, the detail perfect !!
Now the abbey.. just a stunning location!!
I was a little concerned at first that the light may be too strong, the sun was beating down at the abbey and I didn’t want really contrasty shots.
I took the Bride & Groom to the ruins adjacent to The Cloister; this provided some cover and a stunning backdrop. Problem solved !!
All-in-all a wonderful day with some lovely shots.
