The mainstays of my photography are weddings and portraits, however, I love a bit of variety and have seen my involvement with bands increasing. I love it……!
James Bousfield telephoned me to ask if I would photograph him and a friend, Garrison Johnson, to promote their band, ‘Peace Is Out’ in Milnsbridge near Huddersfield. They wanted images for the launch of the band’s website and to help publicise a gig at Bar 51, Halifax on 17th March 2012. Job on !!
James and Garrison are both characters, they describe themselves as yin and yang, opposites. When I met them I realised that the yin and yang referred to their physical appearance as well as their characters.
The first part of the shoot was in in a refurbished mill flat, there was loads of space and the lighting was ideal. Pops, the pussy, got in on the act, and I couldn’t resist a couple of pics. She was the best behaved subject on the day !!
We left the flat for some outdoor shots and then went on to a small studio where they were recording. I had a great time with really great company.
James and Garrison have the will and confidence to make it, watch this space !!!!
