Collette and Nigel approached me a few weeks before Christmas for a Christmas Eve wedding. Short notice, I know, but I was available, they are a really lovely couple and I just couldn’t say no !!!
They opted for a pre-wedding portrait session and signature card for the reception at The Tower House Hotel, Halifax. A really great way to get to know each other and build a relationship for the big day.
The day started for me at 7 am, up and out of the door, to Rochdale for Collette’s bridal preparation shots…. I have to say, she looked stunning !! I was made incredibly welcome by her family and even Bonny, Collette’s pooch.
A really great start for me, I left for the ceremony with face ache from all the laughing !!
Next appointment, the register Office. It is a stunning building, inside and out. Of particular note for me was the Registrar; she was so accommodating, the only limit was to keep flash to a minimum.
Collette and Nigel had arranged a coach from the Register Office to the Hotel, where the majority of the group shots would be taken. Unfortunately the weather could have been kinder so I opted to go indoors.
Fortunately the lighting in the ceremony room at The Tower House is just fantastic ! The larger group shots were easy to light and there were many other locations for the more intimate shots of bride and groom.
What made the day for me was working with a really easy going and fun couple, lovely guests and a wonderful Hotel.
Apart from the weather it doesn’t get better than this.
Collette and Nigel, I wish you all the very best for the future !!
