Sarah wanted photographs of her children and her nieces and nephews. The brief was simple, a white background and over to you……. Fantastic !!
On arrival Sarah’s sister, Helen was there as was Sarah’s hubby; Craig. The kids were great, we had such a laugh, they were all up for it ….. The adults weren’t …initially !!
I took the view that it would be a wasted opportunity. The kids were perfect, they assisted in bullying their parents onto the background and then the fun really started. At first, I just could not get Craig in front of the camera. I realised this was a ruse to give all present the impression that he was a ‘bloke’ and ‘blokes’ don’t display themselves in front of a camera.
Once we had got the initial ‘objections’ out of the way, he was off…. up the stairs, change of shirt, hair done and back down in what seemed like seconds !!!! Methinks, he has a secret penchant for the catwalk !!!!
Dillon, the dog, was a star. Despite being extremely poorly he took everything in his stride, he didn’t like the background, so I did some shots of him relaxing on the carpet with a single flash.
To say I enjoyed the afternoon would be an understatement. I have to say it is hard work setting up the equipment, setting down the equipment and then working on the photo’s, but this was an absolute pleasure !!!!
It really is great to work with such lovely people !
